SCORE offers an opportunity for retired executives and business professionals to maintain and sharpen their business management skills by assisting small business entrepreneurs. SCORE suggests that candidates for membership meet the following guidelines:
- Experience in management, administration, business ownership or professional business experience
- Knowledge of contemporary business practices
- Ability to relate to and communicate with SCORE's diverse client base
Members should agree to:
- Actively participate in chapter meetings, committees, operations, and programs, including a minimum of 100 activity hours per year.
- Complete the forms necessary for recording counseling and other activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Renew commitment by annually signing the code of ethics and conduct.
